2010 Winter Olympics Theme Song nikki dress.jpg
TFCTalent Forums is proud to once again spotlight Canada's own Superstar in the making, Ms. Nikki Yanofsky.
Nikki was chosen to sing the English language version of the 2010 Winter Olympics theme song, "I Believe".
Today, February 8, is Nikki's 16th birthday, and this young Jazz/crossover prodigy is poised to become a worldwide phenomenon, bringing the mass music-consuming public up to speed with one of Canada's "best kept secrets".
A regular performer at the prestigious Montreal Jazz Festival, where she made history at the age of 12 by being the youngest performer to headline her own show, she has performed in Japan and Turkey in the past year, and has appeared at the Jamaican Jazz Fest as well.
In 2008, Nikki received the “Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy" award from the Quebec Chapter of The Association of Fundraising Professionals. Over her career, she has helped raise over $10 Million for local, national and international charities. She is currently associated with The Montreal Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Wish Foundation and MusiCounts. She has also lent her voice to oneXone, Leave Out ViolencE (L.O.V.E.), ORT and Aid for Disabled Veterans of Israel.
She is also currently involved in charitable work for Haitian Earthquake Relief.
An entertaining, confidant and charismatic performer onstage, Nikki is a grounded, gracious and humble person when she steps out of the spotlight, attending a regular school where she earns high marks and is well liked by fellow students and faculty.
Look for her first full-studio CD (produced by the legendary Phil Ramone),
"New To Me", to be released in early summer of 2010.
TFCTalent Forums congratulates our much admired member Nikki for her achievements in music and philanthropy and looks forward to offering our continued support as Nikki makes her mark on the world at large.
